Purpose
During quarantine, I asked myself: how can I make myself useful as a designer in this period? This way "Quarantena che ti passa", an Instagram account, was born.
While in lockdown, there would be a post each day with a suggestion about a possible activity to do while staying at home. As a matter of fact, the target visitors of this account would be those who are bored or want a distraction from the media.
The posts are divided into 6 categories: 👩🍳 Cooking, 🏃♂️ Health, 💪 Personal growth, 👥 Virtual group activities, 🆓 Free resources and 📣 From the community.
Execution
I created a post template using Figma, which included a different color and emoji for each category. Each post was completed by an articled linked in the page bio. The visual design style I went for was calm and playful.
Takeaways
Making the design of the posts was quite fun and easy; on the other hand, the topics and the engagement became more difficult to keep up with as people became more used to staying at home. Nevertheless, it was a nice experiment.
